The RHÖN-KLINIKUM Campus Bad Neustadt is one of five hospitals under the umbrella of the RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, the others being Zentralklinik Bad Berka, Klinikum Frankfurt (Oder), University Hospital Giessen and University Hospital Marburg. At the Campus Bad Neustadt, formerly distributed in-patient and out-patient services as well as medical care were combined under one roof in 2018. Specialists in private practices, clinics of different medical specialties, rehabilitation and medical care work closely together.
With intelligent IT solutions and innovative communication systems, Campus Bad Neustadt guarantees that all stakeholders are digitally connected, thus providing improved treatment of its patients.

The project
In the course of the new building and consolidation project “Campus Bad Neustadt”, the RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG planned to consolidate not just the seven clinics, but also the existing IT landscape with the goal of consolidating all data generated within the hospital—from data within the HIS to scanning and multimedia data to data generated by DICOM devices—in one archive. To realize the project, the RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG opted for synedra as its partner. synedra's Health Content Management Platform synedra AIM is now not only in use as the universal archive for the hospital's medical data, but also as an image distribution solution via a close integration with the PACS.
Data can now be opened and viewed by means of synedra View Embedded, one of synedra's viewing solutions that can be integrated in other programs, thus providing its users with seamless workflows. Via the iOS app of the hospital information system, users are moreover able to access synedra Web mobile, which allows them to view medical images and documents from the HIS on their tablets or smartphones, any time, anywhere.
