Vendor Neutral Archive

The universal archive is the central component of synedra AIM.

A universal archive represents the basis for the uniform, audit-proof archiving of all data, enables the implementation of a vendor-neutral archive for DICOM data and multimedia content, serves as a hub for distributing medical findings within the healthcare facility and ensures secure communication beyond company boundaries. Moreover, the universal archive represents the basis for a secure integration of value-added applications—e.g., in the area of decision support/artificial intelligence—and thus ensures efficient and high-quality patient care in the long run.

The synedra AIM universal archive is a multimedia archive, which means that all documents, images, video files, signals, values, DICOM and non-DICOM, data generated by medical devices and other multimedia content are managed independently of their data format. A multitude of standardized interfaces and client applications makes sure that all data can be gathered in the universal archive.

In healthcare, archiving is a matter of trust. This is why synedra's universal archive provides numerous mechanisms to archive data in an audit-proof way, e.g., cryptographic timestamps, transparency through audit logs, integration of WORM data storage devices and format converters.

Your key advantages at a glance

  • One universal archive for the entire healthcare facility—for documents, images, video files, signals, values, DICOM and non-DICOM, data generated by medical devices and other multimedia content
  • An audit-proof archive—including cryptographic timestamps, WORM functionality and format converters
  • Support of standards such as IHE, DICOM, HL7 and FHIR—to avoid technological dependencies and to allow for a homogeneous integration into existing system landscapes
